Microwave Plasma Chemical Synthesis (MPCS) utilizes microwave energy to generate a plasma by ionizing the gases. The resulting high temperature vaporizes the precursors which facilitates initiating and sustaining the chemical reactions at molecular levels in the presence of microwaves. These vapors are then rapidly quenched resulting in the formation of nanopowders.
Features and Benefits:
1. Narrow particle size distribution
2. High purity
3. Can handle various kinds of precursors-powders, gases and liquids
4. Capable of producing metallic, ceramic and alloy powders
5. Highly energy efficient
6. Scaleable – presently 1 to 10 Kg per day
